More Details:
On January 18, 2009, the war on Gaza Strip was over, but its aftermath on the heart of Um Haytham is still present. Her beloved little son, `Abdullah passed away…

His mother uttered some words revealing the pain of son's separation. `Abdullah asked for his mother's permission to go to play in the house yard after he had fed up of staying at home for fear of warplanes that covered the sky of the north and the south of Gaza Strip.

His mother gave him permission and he started to play in the corridor with an innocent face filled with a happy smile. They were just few minutes and the Israeli warplanes bombed An-Nusayrat club. `Abdullah trembled in fear and haste to his mother's saying: "Mummy, I am terrified." His shaking body did not feel ease but until his mother hugged him to her chest and began reciting some verses of the Qur'an, so he calmed down a little.

Again, `Abdullah returned to play with his cousins at home, but a pain in his head made him stop for few second then he lost consciousness. His mother carried him between her arms seeking to save him but with no avail. The ambulance cars could not reach the place because of the escalating bombing on the club. So, mother took a private car and went to the nearest doctor then to Al-Aqsa Hospital. There, doctors decided to take a tomogram for the head, but it does not exist except in Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. The mother said after tears flowed down her cheeks: "I had no other option because of the bombard. I took him to the hospital and the diagnostic X-ray was an explosion in the arteries of the brain resulted in internal bleeding and he was referred to the European Hospital. The doctors there gave him only 72 hours to get better, but he did not and remained in a coma again. He was transferred to Egypt, but he stayed two days in a clinical death then passed away in the third day."

Other Information:

`Abdullah was the youngest child of Um Haytham. He was clever, handsome, funny, and of sweet-talk. "He used to ask about everything, never felt ashamed of something, and does not fear any stranger." Beloved by all and loves to rely on himself, his mother continued saying: "He was the most beloved child to me because of his extreme beauty and sense of humor."

`Abdullah excelled in his study in the first primary grade. He was very active, keen to study his lessons, and memorized the songs of his Arabic language book. He prepared for the final exams of the first semester, but the war deprived him of examinations.

By the end of the war, he could not take the tests and left his seat empty to tell the painful details of his death.

His Hobbies and Dreams:

`Abdullah loved sport, especially the football game and few minutes before his death he was playing football. He dreamt to finish his studies and graduate from the University as an architect to build houses and pave roads. He always asked how those lofty buildings stand!

However, when he figured out its formation, he wanted to be an engineer to build more of them, but he could not build anything.

Gaza Strip has become a pile of rubble waiting for the re-construction but `Abdullah will not be one of them.
