The Story of Martyrdom:

Today is 27th of December and it is an ordinary day. Mustafa Abu Ghunimah was walking nearby the Precaution Security Headquarter coming home from school. However, there was a big plan for a war led by Israel against the besieged Gaza. In that day, the Israeli F16 warplane shelled the Headquarter of the Precaution Security —west Gaza— causing the body of Mustafa to fly away due to the power of the shells. Tens of passersby, most of which were student who were on their way to school or coming back from school were martyred.

The family of Abu Ghunimah was grieved by the martyrdom of Mustafa, their beloved child, who filled the house with joy and happiness. His mother still remembers his playing and joy, saying: "Mustafa had left very pleasant memories to everyone. He was sensitive and susceptible although he had a very beautiful and obeying character."

His sister Nariman spoke about the relationship between Mustafa and his father: "My father was attached with Mustafa and although he was six years old, he was the closest to his father. I remember when my father commanded all my siblings not to interfere in Mustafa's affairs and Mustafa was happy to hear that." His father said: "I relied on him very much. He helped me in planting a piece of land in front of my house and he helped me in rabbit-breeding by recording everything in order to answer me precisely when I ask about something. In the house, the mother asked Mustafa to fix any equipment as she said: he had a good computer mentality. Glory be to Allah, death chooses people."

Mustafa was not so much clever at school and he was convinced to leave school and work in one of the crafts, but his family insisted that he finish school. I would swear that the first secondary school will be the end of his career in school. Indeed, Mustafa did not complete his school because he was martyred before completing that academic year.
