The Story of
Martyrdom:
During the wartime,
whenever `Abdul-Rahman like other kids and adults heard
the sound of explosion, he rushed to the balcony to see the
targeted place. Many times, he stood there then returned
inside, but the last time he did not come back. In the 10th
of January, `Abdul-Rahman heard the sound of a missile
targeted Hamza masjid in his neighborhood. As usual, he
hurried to his balcony on the fourth floor to watch the
targeted place, but that time a missile was launched at the
masjid again, causing the body of `Abdul-Rahman to fly in
air due to the powerful explosion. He fell on the ground and
entered in a coma that he never passed.
His grandmother
confirms with a heart full of sorrow and pain that her
grandson never suffered any diseases, and he was handsome,
active, and loved playing and fun. She added: "He was
getting ready to go to kindergarten to learn reading and
writing and to improve his pronunciation." He as
his mother said suffered from speech problem where he
could not express his needs, but when he was asked to get
something, he would respond quickly.
The hopes of his
father and his mother were great about him as he would be
their supporter when they grew old and would bear the
responsibility, especially since he was the only boy among
three sisters. His father was attached to him greatly after
he had waited for him a long time, so he accompanied him
wherever he went and did not leave him even in his sleep.
His father suffered from diabetes after his son had been
martyred out of his severe grief and pain for him.
As for his sister
Dina a student in primary three , she was his
companion, played with him, accompanied him everywhere, and
exerted a lot of efforts to teach him how to speak. Now, she
cannot erase the scene of his martyrdom from her memory and
she still sees him in every spot in the house.
