The Story of Martyrdom:

The long hours that Adham (the seventeen years old boy) stayed at home affected his behaviors and he seemed to be nervous. On the 5th of January, Adham decided to leave the house to go to his uncle’s house where the good companionship of his cousins. There, he could not find anyone, so he decided to inspect the neighborhood from the balcony, but the Israeli sniper did not give much time to do so and shot him directly in the heart, in the neck, and in his hand.

When the mother of Adham heard his cries, she went out to find her young son stained with blood on the ground of his uncle's house. It was impossible to seek an ambulance car because of the state of war that targeted everything in place. The only way to transfer Adham to the hospital was to carry him on a motorcycle that took him from Al Isra’ Neighborhood to Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. His mother said: "The incident was very tragic, but Allah helped me to observe patience especially, after I had heard my son more than once repeating the testimony of faith three times."

Adham was martyred despite the fear and cautionary procedures that his mother took to protect him and his brothers from martyrdom. Today, she remembers how she was keen to protect him during the war by moving him from a place to another inside the house. She also wonders how the thing that she feared took place and how she lost Adham.

Tariq (the elder brother) of Adham was his raw example and the keeper of his secrets. The whole family loved Adham because of the nice atmosphere he had spread in the house. He was so close to all the family members because of his great sense of humor and his tolerance personality. His sister Nisreen said about him: "The most beloved thing to me was to sit down with Adham chatting and playing. We were playing together, but he left me and went to the house of my uncle to die there. My brother t told me that Adham was laughing and suddenly, he was no longer able to laugh."

Adham was a student in the second grade of high school. Adham loved his country and despite his young age, he wanted to present something to his homeland, so during the war he was not afraid to move from a neighborhood to another to present some food and drink for the resistance. He really was honored by martyrdom that he always had dreamt of to the extent that he used to repeat that to his mother that he was going to die as a martyr in a confirming manner to make her ready to receive the news of his martyrdom.
