| In the beginning
of land invasion against Gaza Strip during the Israeli war
on the Strip. The rhythm of war escalated unexpectedly when
the occupation forces surrounded with their military tanks
and vehicles the border areas along saladin street, since
the early hours of the night. They dropped their ballistic
shells, broke into the houses, threw fear in the hearts of
the people, and killed the innocence of the children. Farah
was one of those whom the occupation forces targeted with
the bullets of their snipers when her mother was trying to
calm her to stop crying, fear, and hunger.
The grandmother narrates the incident of the martyrdom
saying: The soldiers broke into the house from the backdoors
and we could not do anything but to raise our hands to
surrender and screech that there were only women and
children. However, they shot my husband." The
grandfather of Farah martyred at once, whereas her uncle's
wife bore her, hugged her, and got out from the house under
the threats of the soldiers. Outside, they did not feel
secure. The soldiers showered them with bullets and one of
those bullets hit Farah, her sister Saja, the wife of her
uncle and her uncle. Her uncle's wife crawled with her long
distance in order to reach a safe place and her aunt made
her the first aid, but she departed life.
She spent her last moments with her father. After she had
been hit and the wife of her uncle crawled with her several
meters, she reached her parents behind a sandy hill. Her
father was hit by several shrapnel, but he endured his pains
to see Farah. She spoke to him as if she was complaining
about her injury and pain "Papa, Papa." She held
with her soft hand the place of injury, wiping it until she
was martyred while waiting for an ambulance car but it never
came.
Farah was stepping her first steps short time before her
Martyrdom and her tongue did not speak fluently. She headed
to the kitchen in slow steps for fear that she would fall.
As soon as she got to a place, she would pull down all the
kitchenware causing a terrible sound. She would smile
innocently as if she played a nice musical symphony.
Her sister Saja could not forget that troublemaker child
because she always played with her and accompanied her to
the grocery to buy her candy. One day, Saja remembered her
games and laughs with her and started weeping for losing her
then she asked her mother to bring Farah back: "I want
to see Farah Mum, I miss her. The answer was just weeping
and sad sighs telling her that she will not come back."
