| The Story of
Martyrdom:
In her courtyard, Sabah `Ali `Awad Abu Daqqah (the mother
of the martyr) was sitting waiting his return, but he did
not come back. She keeps silent some moments then she cries
out of pain and sorrow for those who had passed away. She
says: "The condition was the same since the beginning
of the Israeli war on Gaza. The sky was full of warplanes
and striking was everywhere, but I did not expect that my
child will be hit. Ibrahim went with his brother Muhammad in
the truce time to collect grass for animals from an
agricultural land nearby the club of Nady `Absan Al-Kabirah.
He was dragging this new car —to which she aimed— and
the shrapnel had penetrated her body breaking her hand. He
did not carry a missile and did not go toward the borders to
kill him with a land-to-land missile. Allah is sufficient
for us, and how fine a trustee He is!"
She says in a tone of bride: "The 16-years-old
Ibrahim was a student in the first grade in high school and
memorized 25 parts of the Qur'an." Thanks to Allah that
He honored me and made me a mother of a martyr. He wished to
finish his study. My beloved son was one of the excellent
students since his young age. These certificates of honor
attest that and this is a certificate of honor from
Al-Farouk house for teaching the Qur'an and these are
certificates of honor from his school in the different
stages of his education. May Allah bestow mercy on him and
accept him among the martyrs."
His grandmother speaks about his noble characteristics
saying: He was quite, kind, good, and of good moral
standards. Praise be to Allah, all his friends were older
people and from college. Praise be to Allah, his death was
honorable and we do not praise any of them before Allah
because He knows their intentions.
