The Story of Martyrdom:

Many Gazan families thought they were safe from the bombard during the Israeli war on Gaza Strip, so they did not leave their homes for sake of more secure shelter. One of those families was the family of Tal`at Hammudah that lived in an agricultural area and there were only two houses nearby. On the 11th of January, the occupied forces aimed hail of shells at that house, so the family that lived in that house called for help by all means, but with no avail. One of the shells that were directed to that house hit the family directly and resulted in the martyrdom of Muhammad and Faris after they had bled several hours. Their father called for help on the local broadcast by all means to save his family, but the injury of Muhammad and Faris was dangerous and caused their death, whereas the mother of Faris could be rescued after her serious injuries.

Muhammad kept on reciting Suratul-Falaq when he was dying and the last Ayah he uttered was "Malik An-Nas" (the King of mankind) then he died. Muhammad was a great kid as his stepmother, who raised him after his mother's death, said. He was a student in the first secondary school. He was the first in his class and kept to that standard since the first grade of primary school, where the Palestinian writer Marawan Kanafany honored him in his first academic year as his stepmother said: "Thanks to Allah, Muhammad never achieved less than 97%. He wished to be an engineer to the extent that he brought some engineering books from his brother's friend when he was in primary school." She added: "In the last month, Muhammad changed a lot and he was acting like a real man. Muhammad was terrific and jealous. He refused that his thirteen-years-old sister Kariman went out to the garden without Hijab."

The three-years-old Nada, Muhammad's niece, kept two months in a very bad psychological condition because of losing Muhammad. She used to weep and deprive her parents of sleep because she wanted her "uncle Mido (Muhammad)." Her father took her to visit Muhammad's grave perhaps that may alleviate her sorrow and pain.
