| The Story of Martyrdom:
The aura of the morning came fresh but the pains of war were burning the hearts of the people of Gaza Strip. Martyrs were increasing as well as the casualties in the streets and alleys and can not find a way out or a way for the ambulance cars to take them to hospitals. Tawfiq went out with his father to bake some bread that his mother kneaded in the house. She could not bake them because of the electricity outrage and the running out of cooking gas. His father tried to prevent him from coming with him for fear of the bombing that targeted everything that moved in the Strip but he refused. When they were in the company of Muhammad and Habib coming back home with their car, a reconnaissance plane shoot their car, tearing their bodies apart and their blood was mixed with the fresh bread.
His sister Maryam recalls Tawfiq's love and kindness saying: When the electricity was off, he used to play with us hide-and-seek, but now we miss him too much. Sometimes he annoyed Habib, but quickly he remembered his special conditions and treated him kindly. He used to forgive him when he hit him or showed angry at him. My mother used to say: Do not pursuit Habib because he is sick. He would respond and obey. Maryam recalls how was Tawfiq treating her kindly and brought her candy from school from his pocket money.
Tawfiq was a social and a popular boy from the family and neighbors. He was brave, feared nothing, and of strong character. His mother said: I urged his brother Muhammad to learn from Tawfiq how to be social, but he could not because each one of them had his own character.
In Al-Wakalah School in Bayt Lahya's Camp, Tawfiq was receiving his education in the sixth grade of primary school. On foot, he used to go and come from school because their economic conditions did not allow them to rent a car to carry him from and to school. He always told his mother about his pains because of his long journey to school, but she could not find a solution for him until he got used to the long distance. Tawfiq was not prepotent as his brother Muhammad, but he was smart and intelligent by the testimony of his teachers. His mother says: "He was smart, And good exactly as his father was." His mother wished that his son Tawfiq would grew up and bear the responsibility with his brother Muhammad of taking care of his younger brothers, whereas he wished to finish his study quickly and build a prosperous future.
