The Story of Martyrdom:

On the fifteenth of January, the war was about to cease, but the occupation forces refused to finish the war easily, so they increased the pains and sorrows of the Palestinian people. At 3:30 pm., the Israeli soldiers shot `Abdullah Al-Juju when he was on the top of his house. The bullet hit his chest and came out from his back; taking away his soul to its Creator.

The mother of `Abdullah was unable to bury the body of her son who was killed by the occupation forces. He kept laying by his mother since the time of his martyr until seven AM. in the next morning when the occupation forces had withdrawn from the zone. She did not see him off for just a moment but she kept doing this for hours. She could not close her eyes or turn them away lest she would not see him again or touch his body that was covered in blood. She said: “I stayed by his side until the occupation forces withdrew from the zone, then people took him away to bury."

Abdullah was the first kid of his mother to whom she was attached. She was his friend and the keeper of his secrets. He was accompanying her as her shadow as if he wanted to enjoy being close to her during his short lifetime. She said after her eyes were filled with tears: “He used to prefer me to himself and never bought something simple such as candy or peanuts, but he gave me of it before he could eat it and if I did not eat of it, he would not eat it.”

The corners of the house bore witness of the activity and energy of `Abdullah and whenever his mother needed something, he would meet it at once without any complaints to the extent that he used to fix the house equipments. He always played the role of the father to his siblings to the extent that during his injury and before he passed away, he tried to ignore his injury to save his siblings from death but he could not. His siblings had the same feelings toward him. The twins: Hasan and Husayn could not sleep for a whole month in the same house where `Abdullah was martyred as they could not turn the computer on out of their sadness for his departure.

Abdullah was so special in everything: manners, knowledge, and commitment. He used to get high marks in school as he excelled in leading the school football team. He wished to finish high school successfully and have a profession by which he could achieve his future that he planned for and dreamt of.
