The Story of Martyrdom:

On Friday, the sixteenth of January, Ali suggested that he and his brother Ahmad would offer the Friday Prayer in the masjid while his other two brothers offered it in another masjid in case if a bombing took place and one of them was injured. The mother saw them off and supplicated Allah that they would return safely. When they came back, she prepared launch, but Ali could not eat because some of the neighbors did not have something to eat. Therefore, he sought the permission of his mother to offer them some food and she gave him permission. He carried the food, distributed it to them, and came back happily with his action.

When it was half past three, Ali ascended to the upper floor, performed ablution, and offered the `Asr Prayer. His neighbor called upon him to accompany him to a nearby orchard owned by “Al-Shurafa” family who entrusted him with that orchard to take care of their animals. When Ali was about to go with his friend, his father prevented them to go for fear of the Israeli bombing. The empty agricultural lands are the target of the Israeli air raids to kill moving thing because the Israeli forces believed that they were used to launch the missiles against Israel.

In the beginning, the two boys obeyed the commands of Ali’s father (Abu Ahmad), but their care for rendering the trusts back was much bigger. So, they went to the orchard to feed the birds with their hands and offer them some water. However, an Israeli reconnaissance warplane was waiting for any move in the orchard. As soon as they reached the orchard, it launched one of its missiles at them killing Ali and his friend. When Ahmad (Ali’s brother) went out to see what had happened outside, the warplane launched another missile at the same place. Ahmad was injured due to the shrapnel, his left leg was amputated, and his right leg was smashed.

The mother of Ali was not able to see her boy off because the warplanes were still flying in the atmosphere of her house and above the entire neighborhood. She feared that the warplanes would target the house again killing or injuring more people, so she saw him off in his aunt’s house and therefrom they took him to his final destination.

Like all other student in his age, Ali loved to play, but in the last year of his life, he seemed more dedicated to masjids. He used to attend the sessions of religious knowledge and exerted himself in memorizing the Qur’an. His sister Hidayah was helping him in that out of her love to him. She was like a second mother for Ali because she reared him until he grew up.

Ali was a student in the second grade of prep school. He was loyal to his friends, loved them, and preferred them to himself, therefore, they lived on his memory ever after. However, he was not good enough at school, so he hoped to learn a profession that achieves good money for him to secure his future as he wished to rebuild the house of his family in order to suit the large number of his brothers, but he was forced to leave before he could achieve any of these wishes.
