The Story of Martyrdom:

The war atmosphere, targeting every moving and living thing in the sight range of the occupied forces who were waiting in their tanks and in warplanes, the state of fear and horror that the people of the Strip lived during the wartime, and the besiege were the reasons that forced Muhammad to go out. The eleven years old child was forced to go out to search for some wood for his mother to use them in cooking for him and his siblings.

After Muhammad fetched some wood, he sought the permission of his father to go out to play in the nearby alley and the father gave him permission. As soon as Muhammad started to play “Al-Qalul”, the warplanes aimed their missiles at them. The first missile did not hit anyone, so everyone was getting away for their lives, but no one could find safety. The second missile killed Muhammad and his cousin Magdy, whereas the rest were injured.

His last words to his grandmother when he helped her in baking some bread were: “Come on grandma, let us prepare food to my aunt and her children.” He was so kind; the mother remembered how he was kind to his siblings even if they treated him harshly. He was quiet, did not get angry, and did not make people angry with him. All he had to do is to complain about his weakness and she would embrace him and defend him. His mother said: “He never treated anyone of his siblings badly and he always kept saying to those who bothered him “may Allah forgive you!”

As all other children, Muhammad wished to grow up fast, join high school and get the certificate in order to join the university. He wished to study something useful in the field of education, as he loved teaching and wished to be a teacher, but the occupation forces killed that dream before it could come true.
