| The Story of Martyrdom:
On Al Sekka road in Jabalia Camp, many children were martyred throughout the Israeli war against Gaza Strip. One of the martyrs is Nader who was martyred on January 7 after being used to removing the martyrs from that road in particular as it was close to his house.
Nader was martyred when he was shot by an Israeli reconnaissance plane while he was standing in one of the area’s alleys. His martyrdom incident has been too hard for his mother. He was her first child whom she carefully watched as he was about to become the first man of her children.
Nader, the Youngman, was a second grade secondary student. He was high achiever, usually ranking third of his class. He was preparing himself to fulfill his family’s hope of obtaining the General Certificate of secondary education. He hoped to achieve the scores that would allow him to go to university. His mothers says, “I had been waiting for the day when I’d see Nader in his final secondary school grade like the other members of the family. I used to encourage him to keep up his advanced level of learning,” She added, addressing the museum researcher, “Listen to the quiet of the house. Had Nader been here, the house would have sounded better. He was hyperactive, talkative, playful and lively.”
Nader was truly active during the war. In spite of his mother who worried a lot about him, he used to help all people during the war. He carried martyrs and returned to tell her about those war victims he had helped to utter their death testimony. He medically helped many injured people when ambulances failed to reach them.
Nader was well mannered. The whole neighborhood was sad to lose him. His friends visit his tomb all the time. As regards his two friends, Omar Sha’ban and Mahmoud Abdurabbu, they found it extremely difficult to go back to school without Nader. His mother still remembers how many voices are heard calling for Nader the moment he stepped into the house. They wanted him to ply, joke, and sit with them for they loved him so much.
