The Story of Martyrdom:

In the evening of the 28th of December, the mother of Muhammad saw off her daughters with a long look. She kept on looking to their innocent faces and kissed the face of her little daughter Jawahir and covered it well then left to her room. As soon as she fell asleep, she woke up on the sound of the house fall. Her seven daughters were buried under the rubble and only two of them had survived while four of them were martyred.

The four-years-old Jawahir could not bear the rubble piles that fell on her, so her breath had stopped and she passed away at once.

Her mother cried for her with her heart full of pain and sorrow for losing her daughter. Jawahir was not only her little daughter but also she was everything to her mother who accompanied her as her sister Dina who did not leave her even at death time.

Despite her four years old, Jawahir was distinguished with eloquence with her sisters, family members, and neighbors, therefore they loved her. Their neighbor Abu Shady always played with her and his wife always received her warmly with smiley face. She was of kind heart and always kept on supplicating Allah to grant her sisters health and happiness. Her mother said: “When I breastfed Muhammad, she used to carry him between her arms and sing to him because she was so much attached to him.”

Jawahir was getting ready to join school and learnt of her elder sisters the alphabet. Her mother said: Whenever I told her that I am going to list her in kindergarten, she would say: I am big enough to go to school and ride the bus as the neighbors’ children, but her little dream became impossible.
