| Details of the last hours:
When the brutal Israeli occupation army fired its cruel shells at the house of the ‘Allooshs in Jabalia, twelve-year old Amal and her family ran for their lives. In their desperate attempt to seek refuge in the next-door house from the Israeli vicious fires, the heavy Israeli indiscriminate shelling continued. As young Amal rushed to the stairs of her home trying to escape death; the first ruthless shells tore the twelve-year old Amal to shreds.
Just like dozens of innocent Palestinian children, the brutal Israeli shells robbed the twelve-year old Amal's life. Amal’s agonizing story is worth being told to the world.
A bitter, yet hearty, smile was printed on her mother’s face as she recalled the sweet memories of her little angel, ”Amal was everything a mother would wish for her daughter. She was well-mannered, obedient, and very quiet girl. She was religious and honest. I knew after she had martyred that she used to encourage her fellows to perform the due prayers and to wear hijab. She would feel shy on going to her uncle’s home to bring me something.”
Lovingly, Amal used to help her dear mother with the house work, without her mother asking. She, tenderly, cared for her young siblings. She was very generous and not demanding at all. She would not ask her parents to buy her anything more than they can afford. She used to encourage her younger siblings to perform due prayers and wear hijab.
The brutal Israeli onslaught has planted terror into the tender heart of the twelve-year old Amal. She feared for the lives of her family as well as her cousins who were working in Palestinian Security Services. She prayed to Allah: "Oh Allah, If the Israeli vicious army strikes, protect my dear family. Take only my life and protect those of my dear family.” Her mother said: "Young as my little angel was, she was extremely scared of losing a beloved person.”
The twelve-year–old, Amal, was a diligent student whom was loved by all her teachers and agreed to call her “The shy star” because she was a very shy and attentive student. She would blush whenever she stood up to answer any question of her teachers. She was such a bright student; she always scored the highest grades. One of her teachers asked her to tutor other students to help them improve their study, and be as brilliant as Amal was.
Her Dreams:
The twelve-year old, Amal, held on to dream of becoming either a geography or history teacher for she adored both subjects and obtained full marks in both. All her fellow students were fond of her; she used to help them with their study. Maha Hammoudah, Amal’s colleague, said: ”Amal was a distinguished student. She skillfully won all her colleagues’ affections as she helped them out with their study. She used to give them advice to perform due prayers and be adherent Muslims. We all are going to miss our dear friend Amal.”
