Shocked by the horrible Israeli onslaught against Gazans, represented in the massive wave of Israeli air strikes against the already starving, tired and wounded people in the sealed off Strip which claimed the lives of hundreds of them and injured more than a thousand, Arafat took to the streets of the West Bank city of Ramallah and joined a group of Palestinian protesters. The Israeli soldiers opened fire at the protesters, killing the young Arafat.
